
OUR HISTORY
In 1990, two great friends Marcos Abellan and Alejandro Carrion, who were very ambitious, decided to start a new beer business, Menken. The headquarter was build in Poligono Industrial El Rubial in Villena.
It was the right moment to start the company because Spain’s economy was increasing and its exportations too. However, its sales were increasing at a low level, so at 2004 they decided to export to another countries and sell their beer around other countries not just Spain

This was a big change outside and inside the company because Marcos and Alejandro created new departments and they started to have another responsibilities inside the company. Alejandro helped with the sales department causing a big impact and improvement and Marcos drove big reforms in stock and transport. Nowadays, the company has 50 employees between office and production line, and they exports around the European Union and the United States.

CARRIÓN & ABELLAN
Marcos Abellan and Alejandro Carrion are two big entrepreneurs who started with a little idea of a company that was made a real beer for a good fans of beer, different than any other beers on the market.
When this started they have arguments about which were going to be the products to make the beer with this delicious intense flavour. They decided to focus on local products which was a great option.
They work very hard to improve their knowledge in running a business, so nowadays they have differents responsibilities inside the company but they work together like a well-oiled machine.
